Austin Wedding Venue
If you recently got engaged, before booking an Austin wedding venue or talking about budgets we highly recommend pausing to celebrate your engagement. If you’re not sure where to start, follow these steps to plan a fun and memorable engagement party.
Determine who will be hosting. Traditionally, the bride’s parents host. However every family dynamic is different. If it makes more sense for you and your fiancé to host or your best friend then do what makes the most sense.
It might go without saying but if you invite someone to your engagement party, it’s an unspoken rule that they are invited to the wedding. That being said, when it comes to the size of your guests list it’s best to keep the engagement party more intimate and invite only those you know will be at your wedding as well. If you and your partner are from different areas and live far from home it might be easier if you have multiple smaller parties and save the traveling for the big day.
Register for gifts
It might seem early, but creating a preliminary wedding registry can be helpful incase guests want to bring a gift to your party. If you’d prefer not to receive gifts you can also asks that anyone who wants to give a gift instead donates to your favorite charity on your invitation.
